Victory studies the moment a public image stops asking and starts instructing.

The work draws on propaganda, protest graphics, campaign posters and the simplified authority of signs that tell a crowd where to look.

OBEY and the visual language associated with Shepard Fairey are reference points, not a costume. Victory is interested in how repetition, limited colour, slogans and borrowed symbols turn an image into a position.
